Brussels Flower Carpet
For only one weekend every two years, Belgian begonia cultivators decorate Brussels Market Place with a beautiful flower carpet, using nearly one million flowers and measuring a massive 77 by 24 metres.
The famous carpet of flowers is laid right in the centre of the Grand Place and, for a small charge paid locally, can be admired best from the balcony of the City Hall, which is open to the public for the occasion. There’s much more to Brussels, including historic buildings, grand squares and excellent food. We also include a full day visit to Bruges - a beautiful city known as the ‘Venice of the North’ and famed for its pretty canals and medieval architecture. Finally, we visit Ostend so you can enjoy the beaches and multitude of restaurants in this popular Belgian seaside resort.
YOUR HOTEL
You will stay for three nights at the Novotel Brussels Airport, or similar. This hotel offers en-suite facilities, a bar and a dining room where continental buffet breakfast will be included throughout your stay.
